Rajasthan Spirit of the Desert Motorcycle Tour 

Our Rajasthan Motorcycle Tour is new for 2024 - stunning scenery, amazing forts and palaces, great hotels, superb back-up.  This Indian motorcycle tour is suitable for all riders and also riders with pillions.

You will be supported by our own UK Guide, dedicated team of mechanics and back-up van to carry luggage and spare bikes.

The Cost of the Tour

The cost of the tour in 2024 is £2100 for a single rider in a shared twin bed room; £2600 for a single rider in a single room and £3750 for a rider and pillion.

A £250 deposit secures a place on the tour and the remaining balance payment is due 16 weeks before departure.

Day 1- UK to Delhi (Flight departing UK on Saturday)

The start of our amazing adventure.  A direct flight into Delhi is the easiest option.  We will assist you in finding the best flight from your most convenient UK airport. The flights depart on Saturday afternoon and due to time differences you will arrive in Delhi on Sunday morning.

Day 2 - Delhi (Exploration Day)

Arriving in Delhi on the Sunday morning, our 4 star hotel is conveniently located on the outskirts of Delhi.  You will have the rest of the day to rest, get over jet lag or if you are feeling particularly energetic you can go and explore bustling Delhi.  The choice is yours.

Day 3 - Delhi - Jaipur (180 miles)

An early start as we head South West towards the Pink City of Jaipur.  We will avoid the busy main roads and take the far more scenic route near to Sariska Tiger Reserve.  We will make a quick stop to visit Bhangargh Fort.  This relatively well preserved fort was constructed in the 17th Century and is know as the most haunted site in India.  Then it is into beautiful Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan.

Day 4 - Jaipur - Ranthambore National Park (105 miles)

In the morning you will get the opportunity to explore the beautiful 'Pink City'.  It is a truly spectacular city - highlights include the Hawal Mahal (Palace of the Winds); the fascinating Jantar Mantar Observatory complex and the Amber Fort which was the original capital of Rajasthan located in the Aravalli Hills.  In the afternoon, we will be back on the bikes for an afternoon ride to Ranthambore National Park, the home of the Bengal Tiger.

Day 5 - Ranthambore Safari Day (No Miles)

Ranthambore is spectacular.  The Ranthambore Forest covers an area of 1334sq km with 392sq km designated as National Park.  It is home to a multitude of mammals, reptiles and birds and has a Tiger population of 86.  The Tigers are usually diurnal in nature and therefore can be more easily spotted during the daytime.

You will have this day to explore Ranthambore, go on an morning/early evening jeep safari, visit the numerous temples in Ranthambore.  a brilliant day in an unforgettable location.  

Day 6 - Ranthambore - Pushkar (170 Miles)

Today we will be heading West towards the Thar desert and the sacred city of Pushkar.  The City which is also known as the 'The Lotus Flower' is one of the five sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindu devotees.  It is home to the most important Bramha Temple in the world and also holds the biggest camel fair in the world.  A fascinating place and the gateway to the mighty Thar desert.

Day 7 - Pushkar - Kumbhalgarh to Udaipur (195 Miles)

From Pushkar we will head South towards Udaipur.  On the way we will stop off at the fascinating Kumbhalgarh Fort, also known as the Great Wall of India.  Set in the Aravalli mountain range is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Constructed in the 15th Century, it is a magnificent site and well worth the visit.

Day 8 - Udaipur (Exploration Day)

A day to explore wonderful Udaipur.  This city is magnificent, recognised as one of the most beautiful cities in the world - famous for its lakes, mountains, palaces and tiger gardens.  It is also know as the "Venice of the East" and the "most romantic spot on the continent of India".  There are various organised tours which can be arranged via our Indian Travel Representatives.

Day 9 - Udaipur - Jodhpur (160 Miles)

From Udaipur we will head North back into the beautiful Aravalli mountain range.  Taking the twisty route 32, this mountain road will take us past Wild Strom waterfall and into Kumbhalgarh National Park.  We will then descend into the Thar Desert heading towards the Blue City, Jodhpur.

Day 10 - Jodhpur (Exploration Day)

Jodhpur is an absolutely fascinating city.  There is so much to see and do here.  Palaces, forts and gardens - it is an architectural marvel.  The old city is a labyrinth of medieval lanes, interspersed with vibrant markets.

If you are feeling adventurous, why not try the amazing Flying Fox Zip line over Mehrangarh fort.  There are a total of 6 zip lines offering amazing views of the Fort and Jodhpur.

 

Day 11 - Jodhpur - Jaisalmer (185 Miles)

We will head deeper into the mighty Thar Desert also known as The Great Indian Desert.  It is known for its undulating dunes which are notable for their constant movement.  We are heading towards the "Golden City of Jaisalmer.  Jaisalmer is a former medieval trading centre dating back to the 12th Century.  Our evening accommodation will be luxury tents set within the desert - a wonderful night of great food, singing and dancing underneath the stars.

Day 12 - Jaisalmer - Bikaner (210 Miles)

From Jaisalmer we will continue our ride through the Thar Desert towards Bikaner.  On the route we will take time to visit the famous Karni Mata Temple - also known as The Rat Temple.  The Temple is home to approximately 20000 rats and mice (Kaba) who are cared for the Temples staff and workers who consider them as kin.  A truly fascinating place.

Day 13 - Bikaner - Delhi (250 Miles)

Our final day on the bikes as we head out of the desert and towards Delhi.  It is a long ride to finish on as we pass numerous forts and temples on our way to our 5 star hotel on the outskirts of Delhi.  We say goodbye to our bikes and our amazing support crew and then head to the bar for our end of tour party.

Day 14 - Delhi (Chill out/Exploration Day)

The final day in India.  Time to chill out by the pool, do some last minute shopping and sight seeing in Delhi before saying our farewells to the rest of the group.

Day 15 - Delhi to UK (Flight Home)

Departure day back to the UK after an amazing tour of Rajasthan.
