Florida and the Conch Republic Motorcycle Tour

Florida and the Conch Republic Motorcycle Tour

British Bike Tours

Regular price £2,400.00 Sale

uisOur Florida Keys and Conch Republic Motorcycle tour will start and finish in Orlando.  Home of Disneyland, Universal, etc.  Whatever your age, these entertainment parks are always great fun.  Picking up our bikes in Orlando, we will head East to Cape Canaveral and The Kennedy Space Centre.  From Cape Canaveral, you will head South towards Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami.  South of Miami you will join National Highway 1 and the Overseas Highway - a 113 mile highway from Key West to the Florida Keys which includes numerous bridges.  Our destination is Key West - one of our favourite places in the world.  A wonderful, laid back, eclectic, extremely welcoming town.  At Key West there will be a rest day to enjoy the sights, sounds and great food in Key West.  We are now at the Southernmost point of the US and so it is back along the Overseas Highway and into the Everglades National Park.  This 1.5million acres National Park is a sub-tropical wilderness - driving through the middle of it is a real experience.  After the Everglades the next stop is Naples on the West Coast. A wonderful town with beautiful beaches, great bars and restaurants.  We will have a final rest day in Naples before heading North back to Orlando.  This is a laid back, gentle tour but with lots to see and do.  A real treat.

You will also get time to visit Daytona International Speedway and the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America. A great place to visit for all petrolheads.

Day 4 - Tuesday 8 March - Daytona Beach to Kennedy Space Centre

In the morning we will take the coastal highway due South to Kennedy Space Centre Visitor Complex.

This is a 65 mile ride and as such you will get plenty of time to explore this fascinating NASA site.  Several years back, Peter was lucky enough to see one of the last Space Shuttle missions take off from Kennedy.  An event he will never forget.
